Church with a Babylon System 2

Here's Part 1

It may seem the Babylon system affects only trade and commerce as portrayed in Revelation 18. As if only "merchants" and "kings" are affected. There's no mention of the church. But there is--when God told his people to "come out of her!" That's us, the church. "Come out" means we're inside and we have to go out to Him.

We have to make sure we're cleared of any trace of the system. Untainted and spotless. You don't have to leave any Babylon church (but do so if God tells you) because the point here is leaving the system, not a place. You may be out of a Babylon church and still have the system fully operational in you. The Acts church was out of the system though they were still part of Judaism--until Judaism kicked them out.

God is always after a heart sold out to him. "I have found David...a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do," [Acts 13.22]. David then was still in Saul's system yet his heart was outside of it. The same with Samuel when he was under Eli's system. But with Moses it was different. God took Moses out of Egypt, "detoxed" him of Egypt's system 40 years, and then sent him back to take Israel out of Egypt once and for all.

God similarly wants us to go out of the system.
“‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
Anything under the system is home to demons.
She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit,
You cannot drink from the cup of God and from the cup of  demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord's table and eat at the table of demons as well [1 Corinthians 10.21]. You cannot serve God using the Babylon system. You have to "come out!" Every church operating in this system is a "synagogue of Satan but who claim they are (God's people)" [Revelation 3.9]. So, do you know what that system is?

Basically, it operates on pride, ambition, position and self aggrandizement.
Give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts, 'I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn." [Rev. 18.7]
She's after her glory. She's after luxury. She works hard for these things. Glory to her is riches. Luxuries. Money. Her glory is so important to her and she gives it to herself. Many churches are like this today. They operate in the money-value system. Only money makes sense to them. Anything that does not result to church income is a waste of time. Thus, growing church membership means a lot to them.

Evangelism and church planting are good. We should keep up with them. But even church planting has simply become a means of growing church income. More churches equals more money. Nothing wrong with more money if it's spent purely for God's designs. But the Babylon system uses money to be "enthroned as queen." To be the mega-est church of all. Some ministers live in mansions and have their own airports. They pamper themselves with luxury. 😓😐

Yup, she is boastful. She's after position ("I sit enthroned as queen"). She wants to be great--hailed number one. She wants high positions and power. She brags about her accomplishments. She wants titles and degrees because she derives power in these. And by her own glory and strength, she boasts she's not a widow and she does not mourn. See the system? Looks familiar?

And look at the churches under this evil system.
“My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place. [Jeremiah 50]
You see how they're lost because they fail to see the Babylon system they've been operating on. Yes, ministry goes on and even grows by leaps and bounds, but they are lost sheep. Like the church in Sardis, they have "the reputation of being alive but you are dead." And the foremost reason for this is they do not find their rest in God.

This rest is vital for a lively spiritual life.
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. [Hebrews 4.11]
Without this rest from God, all you do is "wander over mountain and hill," says Jeremiah. You do a lot of movement, you have a lot of imagined achievements and success, and yet you really accomplish nothing like Martha did, who was merely "worried and upset" about everything. And you see many churches and ministers enslaved by the Babylon system like this.

So God says, "Flee out of Babylon"! HE keeps urging us some more: "Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the Lord." [Jeremiah 51.45]

How? Jeremiah was given this God-formula:
“the people of Israel and the people of Judah together will go in tears to seek the Lord their God. 5 They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten." [Jeremiah 50.4-5]
Genuinely seek God by going the way of Zion (Zion is God's powerful presence through his Word and ways), become one with God ("bind themselves to the Lord")--and become deep in the Word. Being one with Jesus according to God's eternal WORD (everlasting covenant). It's always the WORD. We have to go back to the WORD. It's so alarming how many churches today (especially young people) so lack the WORD in them. This is the Babylon system luring people away from the everlasting covenant.

They like to sing and play musical instruments and lead in worship--which is good--but the problem is, so many are zero when it comes to the WORD. And most churches make programs that serve this purpose--give them what they want, what they crave for--luring them in church entertainment in the process, so far away from the WORD. This is the Babylon system.

The Babylon system inclines us to make idols we feed the church with. Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian empire did this to Israel. The mystery Babylon system is doing this to the church today. The church uses anything that works in this world--anything effective--but forgets about God's Word and ways. In fact, it loses confidence in these. They look for solutions outside the Word.

The church should go back to what Jesus did and how Jesus lived, especially his value system. The least is the greatest. Jesus' Beatitudes is a good place to start. "Blessed are the poor in spirit."
